Project partners (virtual) meeting was held on March 23-14, 2021.
Opening words were said by project manager Susanna Jernberg (SYKE) – she welcomed all the participants and then introduced with the agenda of the meeting and time planning.
Progress of the implementation of WP1 New generation of ecosystem service mapping and modelling was jointly presented by Elina Virtanen (SYKE) and Jonne Kotta (UT); WP2 Developing ecosystem accounting framework was presented by Liisa Saikkonen (SYKE); WP3. Sustainability compass towards sustainable development goals by Maurizio Sajeva (PPT) and WP4 Synthetic decision-support geoportal for sustainable maritime planning in pilot areas by Jonne Kotta (UT). In between the presentations various discussions raised about the interlinks among the WPs, national accounting systems, use of social media for data scaping etc.
At the second day of the meeting the project management, communication and reporting issues were discussed as well as about MAREA project scientific outputs current ideas and topics for scientific papers.
At the very end of the meeting the hope was expressed that it would be great to held the next partners meeting as face-to-face event.
